Heyhey, it’s #TicTacTuesday!! The 152nd variety added to the collection: Cherry Cola. These arrived to me from the UK and I’m pretty surprised they haven’t made it over to the US yet, but I have a feeling I know why.
Back in 2015, there was a line of Mixers flavors from Tic Tac that would start out one flavor and then change to a second one after a little bit (or if you bit into the candy). There was a Mixers: Cherry -> Cola flavor and it was really tasty. A really excellent line of Simpsons Tic Tacs were out in 2017 and there was a a Buzz Cola variety that was just “cola” and it also was really tasty. Then they came out with the officially-licensed Coca-Cola flavor in 2019, but no Cherry Coke.
This 2026 version reminds me a lot of the Mixers flavor. You don’t get cherry and cola at once, but instead it starts out as cherry and then if you chomp into it, you’ll get the cola mixed in. A nice thing here is that there aren’t any artificial colors, these use carminic acid and beta-carotene instead.
I’m still hopeful that there will be an official Cherry Coke flavor at some point, since we’ve had Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Dr. Pepper. These are really tasty and highly recommend though.
