Heyhey, it’s #TicTacTuesday!! The 133rd variety added to my TicTac collection: Strawberries & Cream. I’ve only posted two new flavors since the pandemic began, seems like Ferrero really slowed down production of new flavors eh? I was given this pack by my friends Marc & Vanessa Jacobs, who recently attended the Sweets & Snacks Expo and grabbed a pack for me. Thanks guys!! These are made in Canada and I’m not sure if they’ll be made available in the US in the future.

While not a completely new flavor, they sort of are. Years ago, they came out with “Strawberry Fields” and that is still one of my favorite flavors ever. They changed things up this time and added white “vanilla” or “cream”-flavored candies with the strawberry ones. I tasted the white and red ones individually, to see if there really was a difference. There is a difference in flavor but I don’t know if I’d ever want to just eat the white ones on their own. It’s not a true vanilla taste, it’s more subtle, kind of like if they made a Vanilla La Croix flavor (which they kind of did in La Croix Limoncello flavor).

When eaten together, both the strawberry and cream balance each other out nicely. The thing I very much dislike about these is that they used Sucralose. I’m not sure why that was necessary for such a small candy, especially when most of the 133 flavors I have never used Sucralose and still manage to have under 1 calorie per mint. When I bite into one of the strawberry candies, the berry flavor is pretty intense (especially compared to the cream taste) but the Sucralose taste is also pretty strong. I seriously CANNOT STAND SUCRALOSE. There, I said it. The Candy Cane flavor is another one I remember they made with Sucralose, I’m so curious as to why.

I can’t see eating these any more than just to review them because of the aftertaste I’m left with. Blehhhh.
