Heyhey, it’s #TicTacTuesday! The 142nd variety added to the Tic Tac collection: Mandarin and Lemon-Lime. I was able to procure a case of these from Malaysia, although they were manufactured in India. There seems to be a lot of activity in Tic Tac-land around citrus flavors right now.

This is a bright and tasty mix of mandarin (not ORANGE) and lemon-lime flavors. Ingredients list does include mandarin juice powder and lime juice concentrate. No mention of lemon flavoring though, but ironically, the green candies actually taste more like lemon than anything to me. It’s not a great lemon flavor, one that reminds me of eating Lemon Pledge wood polish. Kinda gross. The mandarin flavor is nice. It’s similar to the classic orange flavor but seems more muted. When eaten together, the two flavors taste mostly like mandarin with a bit more astringency (thanks to the lemon-lime), making it taste more like the classic orange flavor to me.

These are smaller packs, 14.5g each. Each pack has an annoying plastic shrink wrap over the top. I had trouble removing it to open the pack, maybe that’s a requirement in Malaysia. We don’t see that anywhere else, as far as I know.

I would say these are good, not great.
