Heyhey, it’s #TicTacTuesday! The 102nd variety added to the Tic Tac collection at VOCOMOTION Studios: GUM (Spearmint). The gum has arrived in the US! Previously, you could only get the gum in Europe. I guess that’s cool if you like gum and are a fan of the FIVE KINDS OF SUGAR in this stuff. Personally, I do not like artificial/natural non-sugar sweeteners and this stuff is loaded with them: xylitol, isomalt, sorbitol, acesulfame potassium (Ace-K), and Sucralose. I don’t mind xylitol and other sugar alcohols, but seriously Ace-K AND Sucralose too??
Spearmint is one of my favorite mint flavors of Tic Tacs and the gum flavor is no different from the candy, except for the sweeteners aftertaste. They’re like Chiclets, little crunch of the outer shell then nice soft gum beneath it. The flavor lasts pretty long, although I’m a “chew it for a minute and spit it out” kinda guy.
The packs are available in 56 pieces but I’m not sure if you can get them in the large 200 piece packs. The large packs would fit in well with their competitors on the shelf, Ice Breakers/Ice Cubes, but otherwise these regular-sized packs will get overlooked by gum enthusiasts. Curious to see if these stick around or are just a fad.
