#150 – Dr. Pepper

Heyhey, it’s #TicTacTuesday!! The 150th variety added to the Tic Tac collection: Dr. Pepper. This is the third officially-branded soda flavored Tic Tacs we’ve seen so far. The previous flavors of Coca-Cola and Sprite were pretty darn good, and I think I’d place this one in second place, if I were to rank them. Coca-Cola is definitely the winner, of course.

Similar to the Sprite version, this flavor includes sodium bicarbonate which gives a bit of a “fizzy” taste. Personally, I don’t think it’s quite enough fizz, it’s reallllly subtle. If you want a chance at the full experience, you need to bite into these immediately, rather than letting them melt in your mouth. It appears the baking soda is in the center and if you wait to get to it, you won’t get all the flavors.

While Dr. Pepper always touts that it’s a blend of “23 flavors,” I’m not really getting more than two: cherry and hint of vanilla. It’s really like a “black cherry” flavor to me. The baking soda adds a little bit of alkaline mineral flavor as well. Also, these are colored using artificial colors Red 40 and Blue 1, which is unfortunate.

Overall, I think these are pretty tasty. Whether they’re accurate to the true Dr. Pepper blend of 23 flavors, probably not. I was excited to find these, as they were teased at the 2025 Sweets & Snacks Expo back in May, and I randomly found them at a gas station down the street from me. If you see them in the wild, grab a pack and try them out. Let me know if you think they’re true to the Dr. Pepper you love.
