The Tic Tac Hunter

Heyhey, it’s #TicTacTuesday!! The 148th variety added to the Tic Tac collection: Apple SOUR. This pack comes to us from Budapest, Hungary and boy is it tasty! I’ve reviewed other apple flavors in the past, such as: Apple Battle (Australia, 2015), Apple Treat (India, 2015), Apple Pleasure (Netherlands, 2016) and even Grr…een Apple (US, 2015)…but this is first the really SOUR green apple.

These were actually more sour than I expected. It’s not Warheads sour, but still, for Tic Tacs it’s the most sour flavor I’ve tasted. In fact, second ingredient in the list (after sugar, of course) is “food acids” which includes citric acid, tartaric acid, and malic acid. That’s how serious they’re taking this. For flavoring, these use actual apple powder and for coloring there is natural curcumin/turmeric and spirulina.

I would be remiss if I did not mention my “PERFECT PACK” pictured here. Can you believe it?! I purchased three packs of this flavor and one of them arrived unopened with all the candies perfectly lined up. In all my years of doing this, it is the first perfect pack I’ve ever seen. Amazing.
