Heyhey, it’s #TicTacTuesday! The 108th variety added to the Tic Tac collection at VOCOMOTION Studios: Team Pack (Cola & Limonade). These come to us from Germany, by way of Ljubljana, Slovenia and branded with the logo for the Deutscher Fussball-Bund (German Football Association).
There is a contest to win an original DFB shirt (555 available) by scratching off a code on the back of the pack and entering it on the Tic Tac website. Sadly, when I tried to scratch the grey area to reveal the code, it wouldn’t scratch off. I’ve got a few more days to try getting the code off before the contest ends. Maybe I’ll win a shirt!
Each candy (or dragée) is imprinted with what I assume is the face of a German footballer, but I don’t know who any of these guys are. I tried to extract one candy featuring each face for a photo but it’s very possible I missed some. See pic below.
The flavor mixture in this pack makes sense, cola and lemon (or even better, LIME!!!) go well together…usually. The cola flavor here is good, similar to the Buzz Cola Simpsons flavoring, but the “limonade” lemon is another story. I have had this flavor before, also from Germany as a matter of fact, when it was in the “Honey Lemon” pack I got way back. It’s a weird chemical flavor with this sort of “Pine-Sol” aftertaste. Really not good. I think a cola & lime pack is definitely due. You hear me, Ferrero? I’ve got a list of flavor ideas, hit me up.
